I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
