In a unexpected crossover event that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden cult.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar trials and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
